Our partner, Antoine Leduc, recently contributed to an article entitled “COVID-19: A Catalyst of Modernization Across Jurisdictions”, alongside American colleagues in the renowned American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Journal.
The article explores how the pandemic has accelerated the modernization of the legal practice around the globe, in both the civil law and the common law traditions. The COVID-19 crisis has shaken up the existing timetable, propelling many technological initiatives forward, but such imposed digital shift is not taking place at the same pace from one country to another, from one legal tradition to another.
Since 1982, the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) is a multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization devoted to bankruptcy issues. ABI has more than 12,000 members, representing all facets of the insolvency field.
