We are pleased to announce that Noémie Pharand has been hired as an attorney after having completed her articling with the firm. She will be practicing within the Civil and Commercial Litigation Group.
Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2019, Noémie obtained her Civil Law degree from Université de Montréal. In recent years, and during her academic career, Noémie has been involved with several organizations, including Pro Bono Students Canada, the Institut Philippe-Pinel, where she answered legal questions from various stakeholders, and the Garage Juridique, an organization that helps start-ups identify and meet their legal needs.
Noémie participated, with various members of our team, in the 2017 edition of the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, a cycling challenge raising funds to support research to end cancer. She is also involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
During her articling, Noémie was called upon to participate in a trial and extraordinary remedies before the Superior Court, an appeal before the Court of Appeal of Quebec as well as several examinations for discovery.
