Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon is pleased to announce the hiring of two new lawyers who performed their internships in its offices. They are Maria Bechakjian and Myriam Martel Belmihoub.
Maria Bechakjian is practicing with our Commercial Law group. She first joined our team as a student in the summer of 2016 after completing her third year of law at McGill University. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2018, she also obtained a degree in Political Science from the Université de Montréal in 2013. She worked as a student researcher at Éducaloi and volunteered at the McGill Legal Information Clinic.
Myriam Martel Belmihoub is joining our Insurance Law group. She has worked at our firm as a student since the summer of 2017. A law graduate from the Université du Québec à Montréal, she was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2018. During her studies, she demonstrated leadership as vice president of events for the Comité de droit des affaires of UQÀM. In addition, Myriam worked for three years at a large Canadian insurance company, where she advised clients as a personal-lines damage insurance agent and acted as a coach for her work team.
During their legal studies, Maria and Myriam both clerked for Mr. Jean-Pierre Archambault, judge of the Court of Quebec – Civil chamber.
