Conference on key elements of changes to the Act respecting labour standards

September 6, 2018

On September 11thChristopher Deehy will be the guest speaker at a lunch conference organized by the Canadian Bar Association. He will discuss practical aspects and questions raised by changes to the Act respecting labour standards.

The Act respecting labour standards has not been subject to any major changes for 15 years. However, on June 12, 2018, the National Assembly created a shockwave by adopting the Act respecting labour standards and other legislative provisions, primarily to facilitate family-work balance. Many standards have changed, including those regarding certain leaves, psychological harassment, differences in treatment, and placement agencies.
