A team of LRMM lawyers and notaries, headed by Michel Tourangeau, acted as legal advisors for Groupe C. Laganière in the acquisition of more than 10 million-square-feet of land from Shell Canada.
This complex transaction involved several stakeholders, including the City of Montréal-East, Fondaction, Investissement Québec, the City of Montréal, Hydro-Québec and Lafarge Canada, as well as Shell offices in Houston, Toronto and Montréal. The land had been put up for sale in June 2016 and discussions between Shell and Laganière were held for a little over a year.
The LRMM team assigned to this file consisted of Cindy Afram and Martine Comeau, both notaries, Valérie Giroux, attorney, and Elena Nanocchio, paralegal.
