Valérie Giroux, a Quebec Bar School student, was the ex-aequo winner of the Québec Bar’s Participatory Justice Award for having scored the highest marks in the course on “Modes alternatifs de règlement des conflits et justice participative” (Alternative Dispute Resolution and Participatory Justice).

Participatory justice is a different way to assert your rights and facilitate access to justice. With a lawyer’s assistance, a person can choose how to prevent and resolve the conflict according to his or her needs, interests and means.
