The Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon team met the challenge by raising over $43,000 and cycling more than 230 km!
At the 5th annual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, courageous riders cycled for two days. The funds raised during the two-day event held last July 6th and 7th will benefit cancer research, care and prevention programs at the Jewish General Hospital and its province-wide partners.
The participants experienced an emotion-filled adventure; a joyful mix of efforts, determination, sweat and laughter! According to Philippe Dumaine, captain of Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon’s cycling team, “We had a lot of fun in preparing for this challenge and we came away with a great sense of pride and achievement, both sporting and emotional”.
Funds were also raised thanks to the involvement of the firm and all its members who gave generously. They also invested personally by holding some small, much appreciated, fund-raising events, in particular, by selling breakfasts and sweets, having creole and pizza lunches and drawing show tickets.
The experience is expected to be repeated next year with equal enthusiasm!
The Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon team was made up of Stéphanie Séguin, Martine Boucher, Catherine Tremblay, Daphnée Abraham, Jeanne Fortin, Marc-André Beaudoin, Pierre Murray, Philippe Dumaine, Claude Bergeron and the Groupe LeDuff, and also Huguette Therriault!
