On June 9, 2020, Harry H. Dikranian co-hosted a web conference entitled “The Debt Restructuring Proposal: An Alternative to Bankruptcy?”. Nearly 300 participants attended this presentation organized by the Fondation du Barreau du Québec with the support of the CAIJ.
Given the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, many businesses are under increasing pressure and may even consider bankruptcy as the ultimate solution. The debt restructuring proposal could offer a second chance to many hoping to save their business.
This web conference was part of a series devoted to the legal world in times of crisis, offered by the Fondation. A recorded version is available here (French only).
The mission of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec, created in 1978 by members of the Quebec Bar, is to advance legal knowledge for both industry professionals and the general public, as well as to support legal research. Harry H. Dikranian has been involved with the organization as a Governor since 2014.
