Christopher Deehy will give a presentation on the highlights of the revision of the Act respecting labour standards as part of the professional development activities organized by the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division.
At this conference, which will be held on November 29th in Quebec City, the speakers will paint a portrait of the major changes that were made to the Act in 2018.
The National Assembly of Quebec brought about a significant wave of change when it enacted the Act to amend the Act respecting labour standards and other legislative provisions mainly to facilitate family-work balance. Several standards were changed, including those concerning certain leaves and absences, psychological harassment, disparities in treatment, and placement agencies. The speakers will report on the issues raised by these amendments.
