We are delighted to announce the appointment of Antoine Leduc, LL.D., Ad. E., GCB.D to the Board of Directors of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec (Quebec Bar Foundation).
A partner in our firm and Governor Emeritus of the Foundation, Antoine is a renowned lawyer with over 27 years’ experience in banking and financial services law, restructuring, real estate and international law and development.
A Doctor of Laws and an Advocatus Emeritus at the Quebec Bar, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneysand holds a Global Competent BoardsESG Certificate and Designation (GCB.D). His commitment to the profession was illustrated notably when he served as President of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Branch(2014-2016).
A respected author and lecturer, his publications are regularly cited in the legal literature and by the courts. In fact, his book Mondialisation et harmonisation du droit des sûretés (e.g. Globalization and Harmonization of Secured Transactions) (Thémis, 2012) won the 2013 Quebec Bar Law Foundation’s legal competition award in the category “Monograph and Treatise”, the most prestigious distinction for a legal writing in Quebec.
