After articling with the firm and joining as a lawyer in 2012, Meïssa Ngarane is a partner practicing in civil litigation, particularly in insurance law and civil liability.
He acts in demand and defense matters on behalf of insurance companies, as well as businesses, contractors, subcontractors, individuals, manufacturers, and various professionals, including engineers, across a wide range of legal issues. He has developed a particular practice in matters involving latent defects and construction defects. Meïssa has extensive experience representing construction contractors, subcontractors, and professionals in disputes involving construction projects, liability, and insurance coverage.
He also practices in the field of sports law, where he represents sports and leisure federations in disciplinary and regulatory cases, as well as proceedings involving extraordinary measures.
He regularly pleads before various courts and tribunals, including the Court of Québec, the Superior Court and Court of Appeal of Québec, the Tribunal administratif du Québec, and the Tribunal administratif du logement.
Alongside his practice, Meïssa has taught Civil Evidence and teaches Legal Drafting at the École du Barreau du Québec, contributing to the training of future lawyers.
During his legal studies at Université de Sherbrooke, as part of the co-operative program, he completed internships within the legal affairs department of a national railway company and a multinational engineering firm.
He also pursued studies in international law at Université Montpellier I in France.
Before entering law, Meïssa earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science and a concentration in International Relations at Concordia University.
