It is with sadness that partners and staff of Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon learned of the passing of Mr. Bernard Landry, former Premier of Québec. Mr. Landry began his career as a lawyer at Lapointe Rosenstein in 1969, where he remained until 1976 before focusing on his political career.
Mr. Landry always maintained a connection with members of our firm. In 2005, when he finished his career as a politician, he rejoined our firm as a strategic advisor and stayed with us until 2016.
He had close ties with many of our partners and developed a great friendship with several of them. He was a man of great attentiveness and had a keen, respectful and highly appreciated intelligence.
The members of the large Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon family will cherish his memory and join together in offering their most sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
