Nancy Cleman<\/a>\u00a0has been appointed as an independent member of the Board of Directors of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de la Place des Arts.<\/p>\n

The Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de la Place des Arts is a public institution whose mission is to promote the performing arts and make it possible to perform shows in its concert halls. It manages and operates the largest multidisciplinary performing arts complex in Canada. Place des Arts has six concert halls at its downtown Montr\u00e9al site, including the Maison symphonique, operated in partnership with the Orchestre symphonique de Montr\u00e9al and the private sector. Place des Arts is also the owner and manager of the Amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre Fernand-Lindsay in the Lanaudi\u00e8re region. As a promoter, producer or broadcaster, and aiming to both foster Qu\u00e9bec creativity and host artists from around the world, Place des Arts presents more than 1,000 events a year in its halls, attended by nearly one million spectators. To carry out its activities, Place des Arts has developed numerous local and international partnerships and works daily in close collaboration with its three resident companies, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montr\u00e9al, the DUCEPPE theater company, and the Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al, as well as with the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019art contemporain de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
