Overview
Jean-François Dorais is the leader of our Tax group since 2013. Made partner in 2011, he has also been a member of the Executive Committee since 2017.
He represents clients in litigious matters and dispute resolution involving federal and provincial tax authorities.
His expertise is in income tax and taxes at various stages, including audit, objection and appeal in federal and provincial courts.
He particularly works on cases concerning:
- tax shelters;
- false invoicing schemes (deemed);
- offshore investments, including offshore accounts located in tax havens;
- voluntary disclosures;
- GST/QST;
- R&D credits.
