Allen D. Israel has dedicated his practice and career as an attorney to the field of intellectual and industrial property, with emphasis on trade-mark and copyright litigation and prosecution, acting as lead counsel on a number of complex litigation matters and disputes. He has appeared before the Canadian Trade-Marks Opposition Board and the Federal Court of Canada at both the trial and appellate levels. He has been involved in negotiating intellectual and industrial property settlements and commercial agreements and licenses, and has assisted on commercial matters involving intellectual property components.
Allen has given a number of lectures and presentations on a wide variety of subjects relating to intellectual and industrial property. He has also given presentations as director of the McGill Intellectual and Industrial Property Advanced Course, sponsored jointly by McGill University and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. His experience includes attendance at international conferences and symposiums pertaining to intellectual and industrial property, and he has established a wide network of international associates involved in this area of law and related fields. He has also acted as an instructor and contributor to the online trade-mark agent tutorials since 2007.
