Overview

Jeanne Fortin has been practicing law with our firm since her call to the Bar in 1986. She has extensive expertise in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and general commercial law matters. Her business clientele is diversified, with a focus on small- to medium-sized enterprises.

Jeanne has been involved in numerous acquisitions for private companies, has participated in a large number of complex restructurings, has set up several partnerships, and has participated in the acquisition of industrial and commercial buildings and in the development of several real estate projects, notably in the hydroelectric power area. She has been involved in several venture capital and bank financings, and has drafted and negotiated numerous licensing and franchising agreements. She has also drafted a private bill that was adopted by the Quebec legislator.
