Lise Berichel joined our firm in the summer of 2011 as a law student. She is pursuing a combined degree in civil and common law (B.C.L/LL.B) at McGill University. She will be complete her studies in December 2012.
Lise started law school in France. During her third year, she participated in a student exchange with McGill University. Enchanted by Montreal, she decided to continue her studies here and never left.
During her studies, Lise has been a member of the McGill Law and Health Journal. This experience has allowed her to conciliate her interest for law and her curiosity for the numerous ethical questions related to it. Lise is also involved in McGill’s High School Outreach Program. This program namely introduces high school students to basic legal concepts such as rights and obligations, and demystifies post secondary education and the study of law.
Before joining LRMM, Lise interned at a French law firm focusing her research on copyright, trademark and intellectual property in general, areas of law of particular interest to her.
Lise has a passion for travelling and discovering new cultures. Her travels to Africa and South East Asia has given her an opportunity to see the world differently. In her spare time, Lise plays tennis and dances. She also enjoys reading and going to the movies.
